There has been a huge drop in the number of people getting sick with the flu in NSW this winter.
There were 74 confirmed flu cases in NSW for the week ending June 17 compared to 453 cases this time last year, with influenza activity "low" across the entire state, NSW Health said in a statement.
Health protection director Jeremy McAnulty says there are still flu vaccines available and urged those who haven't yet been jabbed to do so before the flu season starts.
Dr McAnulty says more than 2.2 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed to GPs and health providers since April 9.
As a result of last year's flu season, which was the worst on record in NSW, the state government committed to spending $22.75 million on immunisation programs in 2017-18.
