India will mull MS Dhoni's best fit in the batting order and how best to use the Decision Review System (DRS) as they seek to bounce back from an upset ODI loss to Australia.
The tourists, widely considered the greatest threat to England's hopes of World Cup victory on home soil later this year, crashed to a 34-run loss in Saturday's series opener at the SCG.
The series continues at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday, leaving India little time to address what went wrong in Sydney.
India crashed to 3-4 in the fourth over after the change of innings, suddenly making Australia's total of 5-288 quite imposing.
Rohit Sharma peeled off his 22nd ODI century, forming a 137-run stand with Dhoni that was comfortably the highest partnership of the game.
But it ended when Dhoni was wrongly judged lbw on 51 and unable to do anything about it, with Ambati Rayudu having already wasted the side's only review.
Sharma, who scored 133, was at the non-striker's end for both lbw dismissals.
"It's always tricky," Sharma said.
"By the time you get to the batter, it's already 5-7 seconds over, so you have to make that quick decision.
"Rayudu came and said he thought the ball was drifting down the leg side and I thought the same.
"These things happen and you cannot always be right. It is important to use that DRS pretty well.
"It is a learning for us ... when we go to Adelaide we might have a chat about how we go about that."
Sharma rejected criticism of Dhoni's strike-rate of 53.1, suggesting the former skipper was worthy of a promotion up the order.
"I personally always feel that Dhoni batting at No.4 will be ideal for the team," he said.
"But we have got Rayudu, who has done really well now at No.4.
"It totally depends on what the captain and coach think about it.
"I would be happy if Dhoni bats at No.4."
Sharma had mixed feelings about his ton.
"Unfortunately all four hundreds I have scored in Australia, we have lost all the games," he said.
"If I get a hundred I want to make sure that we win the game as well."
