A NSW mother has been charged by police and reported to social services after she allegedly crashed a car with her young daughter in it while four times the legal limit.
The 31-year-old was travelling north on the Princes Highway at Kiama Bends, south of Wollongong, on Sunday night when the vehicle left the road.
Police said one tyre deflated and the car struck a centre barrier, almost causing it to roll, before continuing for another 500 metres and breaking down.
The four-year-old girl was not injured.
Several passers-by removed the woman from the vehicle and took her keys as police arrived.
