Duet to build gas storage facility in WA

Duet Group is building Western Australia's largest gas storage facility 30 kilometres from Onslow, at a cost of $69 million.

Energy utility operator Duet Group is building Western Australia's largest gas storage facility at unit DDG's depleted Tubridgi onshore gas reservoir, 30 kilometres from Onslow.

The construction of the storage facility will cost $69 million, and is expected to be operational by June 2017.

Duet has already signed CITIC, the developer of the Sino Iron magnetite project at Cape Preston, as its foundation customer, under a 10-year gas storage agreement with options for a further five years. the company said it is negotiating additional contracts with other customers.
