DUET's HY profit down 26.6% at $65.6m

DUET Group has slightly raised its dividend after it's first-half profit fell 26.6 per cent, despite revenue rising 5.3 per cent over the same period.

Energy utility operator DUET Group's first-half net profit has fallen 26.6 per cent to $65.6 million two months out from a crucial shareholder vote on a takeover bid by Hong Kong investor Cheung Kong Infrastructure.

The company said revenue was up 5.3 per cent to $853 million in the six months to December 31.

DUET will pay an unfranked interim dividend of 9.25 cents per share, up 0.25 cents.
