Duo charged over hoon meetings in Vic

Two women who allegedly organised underground hoon meetings have been charged after raids in Melbourne's southeast.

Two Melbourne women have been charged for allegedly organising underground "hoon" meetings.

The 22-year-olds were arrested in raids across Moorabbin, Bentleigh East, Endeavour Hills and Ferntree Gully on Wednesday morning for planning and organising car meetings in 2017, police say.

The women were bailed to face Dandenong Magistrates Court on March 29 charged with offences including conduct endangering serious injury, incitement and hindering police.

"These irresponsible people, including the event organisers and drivers, place their lives and the lives of others at serious risk," police said in an earlier statement.
