Rodney Eade says he wants to stay on as Gold Coast coach and expects his future will be sorted well before the end of the AFL season.

The Suns are in the midst of a full football department review with Eade's position under fresh scrutiny after last week's 67-point capitulation to Sydney.

Eade, who is out of contract at year's end, said he did not feel like a dead man walking and believes the poor recent results are down to the team's lack of depth, which has been exposed by a spate of injuries.
