Eagle Jetta to miss Power AFL clash

West Coast defender Lewis Jetta will miss Saturday's clash with Port Adelaide because of a calf injury.

West Coast defender Lewis Jetta has been ruled out of Saturday's AFL clash with Port Adelaide because of a calf injury.

Jetta suffered the injury in last week's eight-point win over Fremantle.

The Eagles are hopeful he will be able to return against GWS in round eight.

But given his history with calf injuries, he may need a second week on the sidelines.

Former Cat Nathan Vardy has been ruled out for two weeks after tweaking his adductor while playing in the WAFL last weekend.

He also injured his adductor during the pre-season, which ruled him out for two months.

However, his latest setback is more minor.
