Eagles of Death Metal return to Paris with U2

The Eagles of Death Metal, who were playing at the Bataclan in Paris when 89 people were shot dead, have returned to the city to perform with U2.

American band Eagles of Death Metal have returned to Paris to perform less than a month after gunmen stormed the Bataclan.

The band returned to the stage at the end of a U2 concert at the AccorHotels Arena and played Patti Smith’s 'People Have the Power' with U2, and their own track 'I Love You All the Time', Entertainment Weekly reported.

The performance was broadcast live on HBO and on U2's Periscope channel.

The actions of U2 and Eagles of Death Metal have been applauded online.

The Eagles of Death Metal lost their merchandise manager Nick Alexander in the attacks, which killed 130 people, including 89 people at the Bataclan.

The band had vowed to return to perform in Paris.
