Earthquake strikes eastern Indonesia

An magnitude-6.2 earthquake has struck on Timor island in eastern Indonesia, with no immediate report of any casualties or damage.

An earthquake of 6.2 magnitude has struck in eastern Indonesia, the European monitoring agency says, but there were no immediate report of any casualties or damage.

The epicentre of Monday's quake was 133 kilometres northwest of the city of Kupang on Timor island, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.
