A worker at the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been charged with committing an act of indecency towards a two-year-old girl on a carnival ride.

The act was allegedly committed on Monday while the girl was on the ride and was observed by the child's mother, who contacted police.

The 50-year-old man was arrested at the showgrounds at Olympic Park on Tuesday and charged with committing an act of indecency. He has been bailed to appear at Burwood Local Court on April 12.
