Parramatta hope two training sessions will be enough for new arrival Mitchell Moses to fit into their attack for Saturday's NRL clash with Canberra.
Moses trained alongside his new teammates for just the second time on Friday, three days after arriving from the Wests Tigers.
Eels coach Brad Arthur has been impressed with the 22-year-old since they first met for a video session on Tuesday evening.
He was introduced through a right-edge meeting on Wednesday morning, before a full-team ball-work session.
"It probably went better than expected," Arthur said.
"It ran the chance of being a bit clunky and disjointed but it was totally the opposite.
"He came up with a couple of good plays. We play pretty simple so it wasn't too hard to fit in."
Moses completed a light captain's run on Friday morning, but the real test will come against the 10th-placed Raiders at ANZ Stadium.
His arrival is well timed, given the Eels have lost regular half Corey Norman for six weeks with an ankle injury.
But Arthur said they won't be changing their attacking structure to fit around Moses, as he is set to partner Clinton Gutherson in the halves and make the most of his running game,
"We're not going to be changing how we play," Arthur said.
"We've got a style of footy we like to play and he knows that and that's why he's joined us."
Moses' arrival at the ninth-placed Eels ended a six-week saga after he first asked for a release from his West Tigers' contract.
"We'd been thinking it was going to happen for a while," Arthur said.
"He seems excited - full of energy.
"I think he's looking forward to having no pressure on him and just taking control of the team."
His first week at Parramatta also included a brutal honesty session, as Arthur accused his team of being complacent from three-straight wins before last Sunday's 48-10 flogging from the Sydney Roosters.
"We can say it wasn't, but the facts are that it was because we had 48 points scored against us," he said.
Meanwhile Canberra also have a point to prove after three-straight losses, after a shock 34-20 defeat to Newcastle last Sunday.
