Eels NRL star Norman pleads guilty to drug charge

Parramatta NRL star Corey Norman has been fined $400 after pleading guilty to a drug possession charge.

The 25-year-old, who had been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prescribed restricted substance, made a brief appearance at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

His defence barrister Murugan Thangaraj has asked the court not to record a conviction however the matters were marked on Norman's record.

Norman was charged after being caught with MDMA capsules at The Star casino on a Friday night in late May.
