Parramatta prop Junior Paulo is forgiven and a certain starter to take on South Sydney in Friday night's NRL clash despite being caught playing a game of park rugby union.
Less than 24 hours after helping the Eels defeat Canterbury a fortnight ago, Paulo wore headgear to conceal his identity and signed in under another player's name in a Sydney third-grade match between Oatley and Beecroft.
Eels coach Brad Arthur said on Thursday the club had dealt with the incident "in-house" and confirmed the Canberra-bound forward would take his place in the line-up against the Rabbitohs.
"I said to him, `you need get some more game time'. Obviously he took it too literally, didn't he," Arthur joked.
"He's playing. We've dealt with it in-house. He's made a silly error."
The NRL is understood to be happy with the Eels' handling of the matter.
Arthur also gave an update on the status of star captain Kieran Foran, who will miss Friday's match as he continues to receive treatment for personal issues in Queensland.
Arthur said he's been in constant contact with the Eels five-eighth.
"He's going well. I speak to him daily. Just have to take it week by week, but the good thing is he's in a really good headspace and he's on the improve," he said.
"He's doing some training - that's what he loves. That's his passion, is football. He's doing everything possible so that when he is right to play, he's not coming back underdone."
