Egypt has identified one of the suicide bombers from the Coptic church attacks on Palm Sunday.

Egypt's interior ministry has identified the suicide bomber in the Alexandria cathedral attack as 31-year-old Mahmoud Hassan Mubarak Abdullah, a resident of Suez province, a statement says.

At least 44 people were killed in attacks on the cathedral and a church in Tanta on Palm Sunday.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.
