Al-Daleh province deputy governor Lahson Saleh says the attacker attempted to crash through the front gate of the provincial police station with a motorcycle.

After his explosives detonated, his remains were found at the site.

Saleh added on Tuesday that the injured were all policemen and two were in critical condition.

Suicide attacks are a hallmark of the local offshoot of al-Qaeda, who are known to lurk in the remote areas of the southern mountains.
