Elderly driver dies in horror WA crash

An 82-year-old man has died, and his wife seriously injured, after a smash involving another car carrying a 10-week-old baby

An 82-year-old man is dead and his 83-year-old wife is fighting for life, after an horrific collision between two cars near Bunbury, south of Perth.

The elderly couple were driving in a Toyota Coupe around 3.30pm WST on Tuesday, when their vehicle was involved in a collision with a Nissan Tiida being driven by a 26-year-old woman and carrying three passengers, including a 10-week old baby.

WA police said none of their injuries was life threatening.

The 82-year-old man, who was driving, died at the scene. His wife was flown to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
