US website Nicer Days reported that four young brothers from Texas came to the aid of their 75-year-old neighbour after she was issued with an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on charges relating to her overgrown lawn.

The Reynolds brothers, who had never met the woman Gerry Suttle, sprang into action after learning of her problems through a local news report, jumped in their parents' pickup truck and drove to the field.

They began mowing the field, and before long, other neighbours joined in.

Within a few hours the entire field was mowed, a gesture which drew tears from Ms Suttle.

Ms Suttle claimed she never received a notice from the court.
