Indian-born Mohit Kumar says there are currently mixed feelings among constituents about both major parties.

"Everyone has an opinion on politics in India, and that has been carried on over here. It's good, it will create a discussion."
Kumar lives in the seat of Greenway - an ethnically diverse, semi-rural area of outer western Sydney. It's the most marginal state in New South Wales.
Labor's Michelle Rowland currently holds the seat with a margin of 0.9 per cent. She says she's not phased by the prospect of a tough battle ahead.
"This is business as usual for me, it's what I've been doing for three years."
