Candidates seeking to stand in the federal election have until noon on Thursday, June 9, to nominate.

But electoral commissioner Tom Rogers said House and Senate nominations should be lodged as soon as possible to ensure there was time to resolve any issues with the nomination form.

Ballot draws will be carried out on Friday and early voting will start on June 14.
