The Labor party is investigating a bloody punch-up between its candidate for the central Queensland seat of Dawson, Mike Brunker, and the president of the Bowen Turf Club, Cyril Vains, at the race track on Saturday.
Meanwhile the Liberal National Party candidate for the seat of Longman, just north of Brisbane, has been forced to sack a campaign worker after a violent incident was filmed.
