Eleven candidates for WA's Darling Range

Eleven people have nominated as candidates for the Darling Range by-election in Western Australia, which will be held on June 23.

Eleven candidates will contest the Darling Range by-election in Western Australia triggered by the resignation of disgraced Labor-turned-independent state MP Barry Urban.

Among the candidates are former Pauline Hanson's One Nation Mandurah candidate Doug Shaw, who is running as an independent, and television producer and journalist Russell Goodrick for the Western Australia Party.

Electoral Commissioner David Kerslake said on Friday that there would be two early voting venues with extended hours from June 6 to 22, in response to increased demand.

"These extended hours of opening will provide an increased level of service for electors," he said.

The June 23 by-election was called after Mr Urban's web of lies about his education and work history was exposed.

But the controversy continued when Labor candidate Colleen Yates pulled out of the race last week over exaggerations in her online resume.

Premier Mark McGowan told reporters on Thursday Labor's new candidate, Woodside manager Tania Lawrence, had been extensively scrutinised.

Ms Lawrence, who has also worked in the public sector including in counter-terrorism, said she produced physical evidence of her study history.
