Eleven dead in Afghanistan C-130 crash

US troops are among 11 people killed when a C-130 military transport plane crashed in eastern Afghanistan near the border with Pakistan.

Eleven people, including six US troops, have been killed when a C-130 military transport plane crashed in Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan.

US Army Colonel Brian Tribus says the crew and passengers were killed, noting that five civilian contractors who were working for the NATO-led training mission were also on the plane.

Jalalabad is in eastern Afghanistan near the border with Pakistan.
