Energy ministers from across Australia will meet in Adelaide on Wednesday to discuss lowering power prices.

Angus Taylor, the federal Energy Minister, will lead the Council of Australian Governments meeting in a bid to secure agreement on the "retailer reliability obligation".
"I look forward to working with my COAG Energy Council colleagues to bring power prices down while ensuring the reliability of the grid," Mr Taylor said.

"We know that energy reliability is a concern for this upcoming summer.

"I look forward to a constructive and cooperative discussion on these key issues to help Australian families and businesses."

The ministers will also look at a report from chief scientist Dr Alan Finkel on a national hydrogen strategy.
