The 27 England and 13 New Zealand players who were among the 131 international rugby players who died in the war will be remembered and both teams will wear poppies on their shirts, England Rugby said in a statement on Thursday.

As the teams take the field, they will cross the spot where soil taken from the grave of former England captain Ronnie Poulton at the Royal Berkshire Cemetery in Belgium was buried at Twickenham in May.

A special Armistice Day edition of the 50 cent piece, minted by New Zealand's Reserve Bank, will be used in the coin toss and there will be a minute's silence before kickoff followed by a rendition of The Last Post.
