England set up a semi-final encounter with Australia at the ICC Women's World Twenty20 after finishing top of Group B following a commanding 68-run win over Pakistan in Chennai.
Captain Charlotte Edwards led from the front with an authoritative 77 not out in a total of 148 for five and England sealed their fourth victory from as many matches in this competition when Pakistan subsided to 80 all out.
A last-four encounter with Australia in Delhi on Wednesday awaits, giving England the chance for revenge after being beaten by their old rivals in the 2012 and 2014 finals.
Despite defeating Bangladesh, India and West Indies in their opening three matches, England needed to triumph over Pakistan, or lose by a narrow margin, to guarantee their progress.
Their batting was under scrutiny after a terrible collapse against the Windies last time out but Edwards and Tammy Beaumont made sure England got off to the right start after winning the toss with a 68-run opening stand.
Despite Beaumont falling for 37, Edwards was a reassuring presence at the crease and she went to her half-century with the first of three successive fours off Sadia Yousuf in the 16th over.
In total, she creamed 10 fours in her 61-ball stay to amass more than half of her side's total.
Pakistan needed to knock off the runs in 18.1 overs or fewer to usurp England on net run-rate but that always looked unlikely when they lost three wickets in the space of 11 deliveries to slip to 30 for four.
Laura Marsh took a wicket in each of her first three overs en route to figures of three for 12, while Natalie Sciver, Anya Shrubsole and Georgia Elwiss each claimed two scalps as Pakistan were all out for 80 after 17.5 overs.
