England captain Eoin Morgan has suffered a soft first-ball dismissal as the tourists were bowled out for 282 in their final warm-up match against India A in Mumbai.
Morgan opted to skip the tour of Bangladesh on security grounds and has failed twice in three days on his return to the side.
He made three on Tuesday, when England chased 305 against a much different and considerably stronger home XI, and in Mumbai chipped a gentle return catch back to slow left-armer Shahbaz Nadeem in the limited overs clash.
Vice-captain Jos Buttler was also out for a golden duck, caught and bowled in similar fashion by Parvez Rasool, during a middle-order flurry of three wickets in eight balls.
England lurched to 8-198 and were thankful for a spirited last-wicket stand of 71 between Adil Rashid (39) and David Willey (38 not out).
Jonny Bairstow was England's top scorer with 64 in 65 deliveries.
He played in place of previous man of the match Sam Billings and impressed with some punchy hitting and neat sweeps, but both men are unlikely to feature in the first one-day international on Sunday, as the newly-arrived Joe Root reclaims his spot at No.3.
Root has missed both practice games after becoming a father for the first time at the weekend but arrived in the early hours of Thursday morning.
England looked to be set fair at the start of a mix-and-match contest where they intend to use 12 players while the opposition rotate 14.
Having chosen to bat first Jason Roy (25) and Alex Hales (51) peppered the boundary rope for five overs before the former fell in unusual fashion, out hit wicket after a bouncer dislodged part of his helmet and clipped the bail.
Even then Hales and Bairstow moved serenely to 1-116 only for the wheels to fall off.
Hales chipped to mid-wicket after breezing past 50, Morgan lasted mere seconds then came India's triple strike.
Ben Stokes made a cautious 38 before holing out off Rasool and only some late blows from Yorkshire teammates Rashid and Willey, who struck the only two sixes of the innings, prevented a shoddy total.
