The band’s members wore grotesque costumes and masks.
It would seem Europe was too afraid not to vote, and the band went on to win the Grand Final in Athens.

Australia copped flak after a streaker sporting the Australian flag dropped his pants in front of a worldwide audience.
It was in fact Ukrainian media personality Vitalii Sediuk notorious for pranking celebrities including Kim Kardashian who was twice subjected to his antics.
3. When San Marino 'logged on', 2012
San Marino sang The Social Network Song while typing on a laptop. The song originally titled Facebook Uh, Oh, Oh was found to breach the EBU rules resulting in the name change.
4. Montenegro was swinging around in 2017
Slavko Kalezić represented his country of Montenegro with the song Space where he fiercely swung his long braid around on stage.
5. Moldova's epic sax, 2010
Playing the saxaphone while pelvic thrusting during the performance of Run Away. Moldova's entry was performed by SunStroke Project and Olia Tira.
6. Romanians yodel, 2017
Romania made a comeback to Eurovision with an unusual rap-yodel titled Yodel It! The country was disqualified and forced to take a year off from competing.
The entry performed by Ilinca and Alex Florea proved a hit.
7. Greece bouncing around, 2014
A bunch of Greeks somehow managed to sing and bounce at the same time. Rise Up was performed by Freaky Fortune featuring RiskyKidd.
8. Belarus not so lone wolf, 2016
A naked man and his wolf stunned audiences with their visuals. The song, Help You Fly, was performed by Ivan whose real name is Alexandr Ivanov.
9. Lithuanians claim they won, 2006
Lithuania repeatedly sang We are the Winners.
They didn't win, but finished 6th in the final that year.
10. Russia's singing grannies, 2012
A group of singing grandmothers rocked the stage! The performance by the group 'Buranovskiye Babushkiof' of the song Party for Everybody scored them a second place at the competition.
11. Poland causes a stir in 2014
Milkmaids and butter churners, enough said!
12. Ireland and a turkey, 2008
Ireland's song Irelande Douze Pointe was sung by a turkey. The novelty entry failed to make the final.

This is what happens when you wander off the yellow brick road. The song 'Dancing Lasha Tumbai' was perfoemd by Verka Serduchka.
14. Croatia's single duet, 2017
Croatia's performer sang a duet by himself. The song was strangely titled My Friend .
