March: Greens retrial, hung jury - DPP drops charges.
April: Deputy premier Steve Kons resigns after misleading Parliament.
May: Lennon abruptly quits after terrible poll.
May: David Bartlett becomes premier.
August: Minister Paula Wriedt attempts suicide.
September: Bartlett sacks Wriedt from ministry.
October: Police commissioner Jack Johnston charged.
October: Bartlett bungles acting commissioner appointment.
2009:
January: Wriedt quits politics.
June: Labor MP Allison Ritchie quits amid a nepotism jobs scandal.
August: Johnston cleared of supplying police secrets to government.
August: Member for Bass, Jodie Campbell is allegedly punched and beaten by her de facto partner. She quits politics in October as her case enters court in order to spend more time with her young daughters.
December: High Court disallows Johnston challenge.
2010:
February: Johnston retires, $1 million payout plus $162,000 annual pension.
February: Bartlett calls election for March 20.
