Former Australian Olympic basketball coach Brett Brown has agreed to be the head coach of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.
Brown, who also coached in Australia's NBL for 14 seasons, was an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs from 2007 until last season.
US-born Brown, 52, replaces Doug Collins, who resigned in April after the 76ers suffered a 34 win, 48 loss 2012/13 season.
Philadelphia is in a rebuilding phase and added two US college stars on draft night - centre Nerlens Noel and point guard Michael Carter-Williams.
Brown was head coach of the Boomers at the London Olympics.
