Former Glee star Mark Salling has been charged with two counts of child pornography.

US federal prosecutors announced on Friday that Salling was charged with one count of receiving a video and still photo of child porn and a second of possessing two videos depicting child porn.

They say the images depict young girls.

Prosecutors say the 33-year-old actor has agreed to surrender next Friday, at which time he's expected to be arraigned in federal court.
He has been free on bond since his arrest last December.

If convicted he could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.

Salling is best known for playing bad-boy Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Fox's musical dramedy Glee from 2009 to 2015.

His publicist did not immediately respond to phone and email messages.
