Over 90 of da Vinci's anatomical drawings that depict the body and its functions in astonishing detail showcase da Vinci's skill not only as an artist but also as a scientific pioneer.
“(Da Vinici's) idea of looking in layers is what we can now do with modern CT and MR magnetic resin and scanning. So he predated and anticipated what we are now doing 500 years later,” says Professor Peter Abrahams of Warwick University Medical School.
The largest exhibition of da Vinci's anatomical drawings will be on display in the Queens Gallery in Buckingham Palace later this week.
