Chinese authorities have launched an ocean clean-up operation after an oil pipeline explosion and fire spilled 1,500 tonnes of crude into the Yellow Sea, state media said.
Dozens of oil-skimming vessels and other ships were working to remove the oil from the sea off the northeastern port city of Dalian following Friday night's accident, the Beijing News said.
Authorities predicted the clean-up would take 10 days.

Chinese media reports suggested oil had stopped spilling into the sea but did not explicitly say it had been contained.
Two pipelines exploded at an oil storage depot belonging to China National Petroleum Corp near Dalian's Xingang Harbour in Liaoning province, triggering a spectacular blaze that burned throughout the weekend.
CNPC is the country's biggest oil company.
The fire has been brought under control but some pockets continued to burn Monday as firefighters sprayed cooling foam on the facility in a bid to extinguish it fully, reports said.
No deaths or injuries have been reported.
The explosions occurred after a Libyan-flagged tanker had discharged its load at the port.
