Explosion in tent kills boy

A teenage boy was killed and his family members seriously injured when a gas cannister is thought to have exploded inside a tent south of Perth.

A 16-year-old boy is dead and his father and teenage sister have suffered serious burns after what is thought to be a gas bottle explosion at a Mandurah caravan park south of Perth.

The explosion occurred at about 3am (WST) while the family of three were sleeping in their tent at the Timbertop Caravan Park in Mandurah, about 75km south of the capital.
