At least five people have been killed in a car bombing in a Syrian town on the border with Turkey.

The blast hit a cultural centre in the town of Azaz leaving an unspecified number of people injured, the Syrian observatory for Human Rights says.

Some local activists said the explosion took place near a building housing the opposition Syrian government in the town.

Online videos showed the site strewn with bodies in the aftermath of the blast.

So far, there has been no claim of responsibility.

Azaz has previously seen similar bombings, some of which were claimed by Islamic State.
