Qantas will boost flights between Australia and Europe as it tries to clear a backlog of passengers stranded by the recent closure of European airports.
Chief executive Alan Joyce said it will take two to three weeks to clear the backlog of more than 15,000 travellers.
"We have been working with the relevant airport authorities to gain clearances to operate supplementary flights between Australia and Europe," he said in a statement on Friday.

Qantas is adding three flights to its schedule for Friday and Saturday.
Further flights 'an option'
Qantas also said it was looking into options for more flights from Australia to London.
It is processing passengers in order of need, with priority given to the elderly and families with young children.
"Customers are reminded that flights are heavily booked through to early May and there are limited seats to rebook passengers," the airline warned.
"Customers can elect to defer travel to a later date - within 12 months - or will be offered a full refund."
