AIRPORTS
According to the US Federal Aviation Administration, many major airports have been closed or forced to operate a restricted schedule due to Post-Tropical Storm Sandy. Delays are expected to continue through the week.
The aviation authority advises anyone travelling to or from the United States, particularly from affected areas, to check with their airline as to the status of their flight.

FLIGHTS FROM AUSTRALIA TO US
A spokesperson for Qantas Airways says all QF flights between Australia and the United States are operating as normal, however flights from Los Angeles to New York -- a total of four flights so far -- have been cancelled for Monday and Tuesday.
"Passengers have been advised and will be accommodated on the first available flights once operations can resume. Customers should check the Qantas website for the latest information." Click here for more information about affected Qantas flights.
RAIL
All Amtrak services in the North East have been suspended for Tuesday, October 30, according to an update posted on the website for the rail service.
The suspension affects services travelling from Boston south to Raleigh, North Carolina, and from the East Coast to Chicago, New Orleans and Florida. Bus services associated with the rail network are also affected. See updates on the website for detailed information.
PORTS
The Port Authority in New York has ordered the evacuation of all maritime facilities, including the New Jersey Marine Terminals. The maritime facilities are expected to remain closed until further notice.
ROADS
At least five bridges have been closed in the New York area, including the Holland Tunnel, the Bayonne Bridge, the Outerbridge Crossing, the George Washington Bridge and the Goethals Bridge.
