Three-year-old twin girls have died in a house fire in the NSW southwest slopes region.
The girls were pulled from the Batlow house by Fire and Rescue NSW officers on Monday morning, NSW Police said in a statement.
The girls died at the scene.
A woman and five-year-old child, who also live at the house, were outside the home at the time of the fire, police said.
Riverina Police District Commander Superintendent Bob Noble said the small community was "distraught".

"Obviously, it's a particularly horrific incident - the lives of two young girls have been lost," he told reporters on Monday.
"Family members and friends of the family are quite rightly distraught, as are neighbours."
The cause of the fire is unknown and a crime scene has been established, while a report will be prepared for the coroner.
