Australian 61 year old Neil Campbell is wanted in the United States for allegedly receiving bribes over a construction project in Afghanistan.

Mr Campbell was arrested in Delhi after boarding a flight from Kabul last week and is being held in the notorious prison Tihar Jail one of Asia's largest.

The daughter of Mr. Campbell, Madison, has called on the Australian government to exert diplomatic pressure on Indian authorities to allow for a speedy resolution out of India and into US Custody.

"I want Kevin Rudd to make sure that my dad receives the adequate rights," Ms Campbell told the ABC Online.

"I want Kevin Rudd to make sure that my dad receives the adequate rights," she said.

"He is innocent until proven guilty, so I want Kevin Rudd to step in and make sure that my dad can face proper justice."

If found guilty, Campbell faces up to four years in a US federal prison.
