Robbie Farah has hit back at those who claim Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire is a merciless task master who pushed his NRL players too far.
After six years at South Sydney, including a 2014 premiership win, Maguire arrived at Concord with a reputation for being a relentless disciplinarian whose demands led to him losing the dressing room at Redfern.
But veteran hookier Farah leapt to the defence of Maguire on Monday, saying hard work was the backbone of success and the coach was capable of guiding the club to a sustained period of prosperity.
