South Sydney captain Greg Inglis says he'd welcome a move to bring Robbie Farah to Redfern.
Farah has been linked to Souths after falling out with Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor and being dropped to reserve grade.
Souths have struggled at hooker since Issac Luke's off-season move to the Warriors and regular No.9 Cameron McInnes has been axed for Damien Cook for Saturday night's match against Melbourne.
"He (Farah) is a high quality player," Inglis said on Wednesday.
"He has represented his state and his country. We have a No.9 here in Cam, but if we do pursue Robbie I think it would be great for this club."

It was a stance supported by Souths' England international George Burgess.
"He is a rep player so I think he would fit into any club he goes to," Burgess said. "He has a lot of skills."
Farah has also been linked to a move to Cronulla, where hooker Michael Ennis will retire at season's end and a move to struggling St George Illawarra has also been mentioned.
Current Dragons No.9 Mitch Rein is off contract with the club and is in protracted contract negotiations.
Farah has again been named in reserve grade this week by the Tigers.
Inglis returns from a three-match suspension for his shoulder charge on Josh Dugan in State of Origin three for Saturday's match with his former club Melbourne at AAMI Park.
Souths were thumped 54-4 last week by Canberra.
"It is possession and our defence - if we fix those things up we can put our best foot forward for the rest of the season," Inglis said.
"Melbourne are a great side, they have been for years.
"They have certainly shown that they are the team to beat (for the premiership) but Cronulla are playing outstanding football as well."
