Fast bowler Cummins added to Windies squad

The West Indies Cricket Board has announced Miguel Cummins will replace injured fast bowler Shannon Gabriel for the remaining two Tests against Australia.

Fast bowler Miguel Cummins will replace the injured Shannon Gabriel in the West Indies' squad for the remaining two Tests against Australia.

The West Indies Cricket Board made the announcement on Wednesday.

Cummins has taken 99 wickets at an average of 22.83 in 36 first-class matches. He has made only one appearance for the West Indies, in a one-day international against Ireland in February 2014 at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

Gabriel injured his left ankle while bowling in the first innings of the first Test in Hobart, where Australia won by an innings and 212 runs.

The West Indies play a two-day tour match against a Victorian side beginning on Saturday in preparation for the second Test starting on Boxing Day at the MCG.
