* It's the second day-night pink-ball Test in Australia

* The first, last November against New Zealand, was won by Australia within three days - no side made more than 224 runs in an innings

* This time, several changes have been made to even the contest between bat and ball

* Manufacturers have added an extra layer of lacquer to stop the ball swinging as much

* The colour of the seam has been changed to black to increase visibility for batsmen

* The grass on Adelaide Oval's pitch will be cut shorter than last year in a bid to reduce movement off the surface
