The father of a Sydney baby boy who was abducted at knifepoint last week has turned himself into police and been charged.
The 24-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage and take/detain child with intent to remove from parental control.
He's been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court later on Wednesday.
It's alleged the man, armed with a knife, forced his way into a house on Kenthurst Place last Thursday night and abducted a 16-year-old girl and the baby.
The girl was later released and the child was handed to police the following day.
