Father used daughter like a 'sex object'

A Perth judge says there will be lasting and probably irreparable consequences for a girl who was sexually abused by her father and six other men.

A man jailed for 22-and-a-half years for raping his own daughter and pimping her to six other men allowed strangers to "treat her as a sexual object", a Perth judge says.

The father, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to 61 offences committed between 2013 and 2015 when the girl was aged between 11 and 13.

The 42-year-old's offending included giving the girl a stupefying drug, watching as others raped her and recording her while she was naked and in bondage.

The West Australian District Court heard on Thursday the father met the men through websites like Craigslist.

He told police he regretted his actions.

"I'm going to be honest, it was fun while it lasted but it went way over the line," he said.

In a letter, the father expressed "remorse, regret and utter shame".

Prosecutor Justin Whalley said the girl, who lived with her father after her parents separated, was subjected to "degradation of the highest order".

Judge Philip Eaton described it as one of the worst cases of its kind and said there would be lasting and probably irreparable consequences for the girl.

"You in fact allowed complete strangers to treat your daughter as a sexual object and treated her like that yourself," he said.

The father will be eligible for parole after serving 20-and-a-half years behind bars.

Benjamin Simon Clarke was previously sentenced to three years in jail for his involvement, which included photographing the girl in lingerie and nude.

Former pastor and father-of-two, Dawid Volmer, was sentenced to 10-and-a-half years after he admitted molesting and raping the blindfolded girl while her father was present.

Four other men also face charges.
