Faulty airbags prompt major car recall

More than a quarter of a million Australian drivers have been caught up in a global recall of cars fitted with potentially fatal airbags.

Toyota, Nissan and Honda are taking back six and a half million vehicles worldwide - more than 300,000 here - over fears of defective safety devices.
