The parents of a missing Perth man have begged their son to come home as they plead for public help to find the army veteran.
Brock Hewitt was last seen Monday in the northern Perth suburb of Yanchep after telling his mum he was going fishing at Fremantle's South Mole.
His parents, Jan and Rick, told a press conference Friday they raised the alarm after he failed to respond to their calls.
The 29-year-old father suffers post-traumatic stress disorder after serving three years in Afghanistan.
Rick says Brock, a keen four-wheel-driver and bushman, is "not just a son (but) a mate."
"It's like him being in Afghanistan again ... not knowing where he is and what he's doing," he said.
Described as slim, with light skin and dark hair - with 'Hewitt' tattooed on his left arm - Brock was last seen wearing a singlet, shorts and thongs leaving a service station on Yanchep Beach Road.
It is believed he is driving a white Nissan Navara ute, registration 1GDR 069, with a roof rack, canopy and several army stickers in the back window.
He was heading in an easterly direction towards the intersection of Indian Ocean Drive and Wanneroo Road.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact them urgently.
