The traditional Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the pillars of the Muslim faith, and the largest gathering of Muslims in the world.
But Muslims here in Australia are worried they could get caught up in the new anti-terrorism measures when they travel to Saudi Arabia in October.
Kuranda Seyit is from the Forum on Australia's Islamic Relations.
He told Angelo Risso thousands about 5 thousand Muslims leave Australia each year to make the Hajj pilgrimage.
