Ferrari's new F1 car named F14T

Ferrari fans have determined the factory's new turbo era Formula One car will be known as the F14T

An online poll with more than a million votes has determined that Ferrari's new Formula One car will be named the F14T.

The 'T' is for turbo, with turbo engines returning to F1 this year.

Ferrari announced the results on Friday and the car will be presented online on Saturday.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali says, "It's nice to know the name of the car has been chosen by our fans. The amazing number of votes shows just how popular Ferrari has always been and this will be, as always, a further impetus for us to do well this year."

Ferrari says 1,123,741 ballots came in and F14T won with 32.9 per cent of the votes from 208 countries.

Driver Kimi Raikkonen is back with Ferrari this year alongside Fernando Alonso.
