Colourfest, Australia's first national short film festival dedicated to the works of culturally diverse Australian film makers, was held in Melbourne at the weekend.
"This festival shows you can have films in multiple languages and from various film makers, but you can all relate to them and share that experience," Gary Paramanathan, Colourfest director says.
Iranian-Australian Vessal Safaei says her film was a way for her to express her identity.

"The more that we understand the culture of the people around us the more that we'll recognise that culture as our own," she told SBS.
